Greetings!!
Every one of us has been to the sea-shores and enjoyed the serene environment of the place. Fortunately, Karachi is also blessed with a sea-shore more commonly know as “Sea-View”.
Standing on the wet sand, the gentle ripples of the water waves seem to glide across the surface of the sea, rushing to caress our feet. The hushed voices of the water waves breaking against the rocks seem to be telling the tale of what the race of worldly possessions results in. The wet sand slithering and disappearing beneath our feet with the waves seem to be narrating another phenomenon.
Water has forever been attributed with Peace and Serenity. Hence it is not surprising many people who visit the sea-shores are searchers of tranquility. I believe most of them are in fact successful in finding peace there.
However, noticeably, the water here at Karachi’s shore is not clean. With the heavy saline taste and murky appearance, the “Sea-View” poses real trouble when it snatches away the fragile youth from their parents and engulfs them into the shadows of deep silence. It is heart wrenching to see the innocent faces of the pearly youth frozen and stiffened to an irrevocable state, if they are found at all.
Do we blame the sea for such mishap? No same person would do that. Do we blame ourselves? Only when it is already too late.
Peace.
