Indo-Pak War 1948

Greetings!!

Recently I have researched on the Indo-Pak Wars.. Here is the summary.

Since the separation of East and West Pakistan from the gigantic empire of sub-continent in 1947, Indians have been trying relentlessly to annihilate Pakistan from the face of the World Map. This ill-intention has resulted in wars between India and Pakistan, immense unnecessary bloodshed and heavy economic loses.

The first war to be fought between India and Pakistan is more commonly known as the Kashmir War (1948). It was based on the disputed territory of Kashmir in 1947-1949. After the partition, India tried to handicap Pakistan through economic and military discrepancies so that the TWO NATIONS could amalgamate again. Pakistan, afresh from partition, was battling several issues regarding state affairs. Amidst this chaos, India started concentrating its forces in the disputed Kashmir region to conquer this piece of heavenly land while Pakistan was in no condition to defend itself. Battered but not naïve, Pakistan also gathered up an army by recruiting those who had former experience of any sort and by collecting arms despite the non-existence of Arms Manufacturers in the region, concentrating its forces to secure the Pakistan borders. The United Nations was also informed about these movements but it decided to remain silent in this regard. The first clash occurred in the summer of 1948 in which India decisively lost and was eradicated from the Pakistani lands. Further reinforcements were made to the Pakistani Line-Of-Action. The second attack was initiated by Pakistan in the December of 1948 where it cut off India’s supplies of ammunition and nutrition and isolated them in Nowshera – Jhangar – Poonch region.

India, undoubtedly defeated and caught by surprise, immediately approached the United Nations (like a child runs to its mother when someone snatches the cone out of its hands) and called for ceasefire, which was granted. Pakistan thereafter halted its military operations. However, Pakistan built the ammunition factory in Wah and also organized its army knowing India would not be peaceful or let others be peaceful. And truly, India tried numerous times to coax Pakistan into War by not only trespassing on Pakistani lands, but also by violating our air space and water ways. The “Tom and Jerry” chase has been going on since the partition unstoppably!

Peace.
