Greetings!!
I believe everyone receives mails concerning how someone became a millionaire overnight by hitting a given link and their life faced a complete u-turn. Chain messages regarding how someone forwarded a message and got a promotion whereas someone who did not died rather unpleasantly (Yes, sounds more like a curse than an E-mail) are abundantly circulated. Also, chain messages containing a loved one's plea to keep forwarding the mail since they are paid some cents for every forwarded mail and that they require the money for someone's medical treatment are also not very uncommon.
More often, the subjects in the mail are not authentic and cannot be verified. This poses immense problem in distinguishing the genuine mails from spam. Also, sometimes, the links given lead to Viruses and Trojans. I believe a bunch of mischief mongers are actually devoiding the deserving people of their rights when they create spam. If somehow, a genuine label could be attached with the genuine mails, justice could be done.
