This is in reference to the now not so unknown "News of the World" magazine scandal.

Apparently, "News of the World" owner Mr. Murdoch has announced the closure of his News Corporation in the wake of the phone scandal. To those still unaware, "News of the World" is accused of tapping and following victims of murder and terror attacks. A number of victims have also testified in favor of this allegation. It only makes sense why Mr. Murdoch is closing the 168 year old legacy if we consider the allegations are true.
Coming Thursday is going to announce the closure of this firm with around 200 people thrown out of their jobs. However, there are also reports that Mr. Murdoch has launched another magazine by the name of "The sun of Sunday" and hence he will not be largely effected by this shut-down whatsoever!
"News of the World" is also attributed with having unveiled the Pakistani players' match fixing scandal. It forces me to think this self-scandal of the magazine could have something to do with the 18crore heartbroken people who must have cursed this magazine at some point or the other for showing them that our heroes were in fact only actors of the bigger play.
My first opinion regarding this scandal was that Mr. Murdoch is pulling a publicity stunt in an attempt to revive his magazine whose sales might have been affected with the advent of so many competitors. However, a little follow up of the scandal said matters were far more serious.
Though analysts are still contemplating how this decision of closing "News of the World" is in fact going in Mr. Murdoch's own personal interests, I believe this story is only based on striking drama!
I believe Mr. Murdoch has violated far more laws than he can compensate for. Like the human right laws for instance; according to the facts known, a number of articles regarding punishment sentences are going to be applied on him and that too for massive numbers of people which he can hardly compensate considering the crashing down of the beastly magazine. I think it may also be a way of getting away without compensating the victims since he does not apparently have a source to do so.
This controversy is going to take a long time to die down. People are outraged, and such emotions do not disappear rapidly. All we can do is wish for the best judgement and justice for all.
